PatchAmp Remote Monitoring Systems - Model PA-RMS
PatchAmp's Remote Monitoring System (PA-RMS) is a cost efficient and user-friendly way to check and log the status of your signals and PatchAmp frames in real time. This system offers users programmable monitoring and data logging right out of the box. Faults include signal loss, frozen picture, on air black/bars, and unterminated video to name a few. The PA-RMS base software offers local alerts through on-screen pop up display and continuous event logging. The PA-RMS is compatible with all large (24 or more modules) PatchAmp frames.
The PA-RMS utilizes a Data Acquisition System (Daq) with USB connections hubbed to a central computer. This Daq is designed to directly measure multiple channels of voltage, thermocouples, pulse, frequency, and digital I/O. By using this type of Daq the PA-RMS can act as your facilities centralized monitor and reporter. The PA-RMS can measure, monitor, report and alarm for almost every aspect including signal flow, power, air conditioning and heat, humidity, and door sensors to name a few.
This monitoring system utilizes unique monitoring software that allows the user to write customized programming faults. The PatchAmp Enhanced Monitoring Software (PA-EMS) upgrade transforms the PA-RMS into one of the most comprehensive yet cost efficient monitoring tools available for the broadcast industry.
The PA-EMS offers endless possibilities, broadcasters can monitor their antenna farm for intruders or dangerous ice build up on the tower, cable operators can securely monitor unmanned repeater stations, and facilities can monitor power draw and temperatures inside equipment racks.
